ABOUT ME
WHAT'S MY STORY?

First, you should know that I'm a hybrid -- I blur the line between product management and design. I love the intersection of product strategy and design, so I've positioned myself smack-dab in the middle of it.

I got my start at PwC's emerging tech lab and Analytics Apps teams. While there, I learned the value of validating ideas early/often. Later in my career at Voi, I learned the art/science of reaching product-market fit. Recently, while helping to lead design at Egencia, I've learned to slow down, work x-functionally and think more strategically about testing and implementation at scale.

These learnings have pointed me towards the field of growth design, which seems to blend all my interests and learnings. Consequently, I co-founded the community --> growthdesigners.co <-- Check it out, we're growing! 😉

WHAT'S MY PHILOSOPHY?

To design the most optimal solution, I seek to understand the problem. After forming a strong hypothesis, I rapidly iterate on solutions, trying my best to never lose sight of the goal. Lastly, I validate assumptions via research/testing as fast as possible.

As a manager, I continuously encourage my team to:

  • Clarify both user and business goals  -- ask seemingly dumb questions
  • Validate ideas with users quickly -- test same day, if possible
  • Seek feedback early and often -- share at an uncomfortable stage
  • Drop biases -- we all have 'em, but be aware and actively combat them
  • Keep the end in sight -- don't be blinded by short-term KPI/metric success
HOW DO I SPEND MY FREE TIME?

I enjoy endurance sports, reading, cutting hair (yep, I'm a barber), volunteering in the community, and working on my wife's company, Klaede.
